Forgot I had this thing! Last post 2012… over 12 years ago!

Well a few things have happened. A few friends and family members are no longer with me, and I’ve been living a quiet life back in U.K. for the last few years, playing with classic cars, walking my dog, and going to the local pub. Quite happy with that… for now.

Seriously concerned about the ongoing hybrid war between russia and the west. Hopefully it will move to a footing where we can openly respond soon, as they are better at information warfare than us.

Pissed off about not being an EU citizen, but looking into ways to remedy that. Reckon I’ve a few more years I need to base in U.K. (family commitments), but then I can evacuate. Just starting to outline plans now, but will firm up over this year.

It’s funny reading through some of my posts, seeing things that were important to me then are so irrelevant now. I guess that’s part of life. One moves on. 

Sold the family home and now living in suburban bliss. It’s really quite nice being able to walk into town and to the local shops. It was such a novelty to start with, I walking into the town centre almost every night. The novelty HAS worn off now, though, especially when it’s cold.

When it warms up, I aim to take the train into Manchester more often. The local station is only 10 minutes’ walk, so I can learn the city again. That should occupy me over summer.

Well, on the day of trump’s inauguration, let’s see what nonsense the rest of this year has to hold!
